On the 6th of January of 2011, some thing that I always wished for, in the deepest of my heart has happened – but without my knowledge, when it happened.
For the first time, Seventeen illustrious gurus representing diverse spiritual movements in the country met under the format of Guru Sangamam, which means a confluence of gurus. This is an event which probably has not happened in thousands of years. Eight other Great Gurus also sent their blessings for the event.
Not only that. They resolved that this Guru Sangamam will be like a confederation of spiritual movements and they will meet a minimum of once a year.
Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev says – “This is a huge step because it is not something that one individual or individual organization can do. In the next few months, we will be taking a few significant steps to take it to the next level. This can be a major advancement towards protecting, nurturing and making this spiritual possibility available to the larger world. This is a very momentous event, the significance of which people will realize only over a period of time.”

You will find Great Sikh Gurus, Jain Gurus, Sri Chinna Jeeyar Swamy of the vaishnavaite tradition, Gurumaa, Gurus of the order of Adi Sankara’s Advaita – and many others – along with Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and Baba RamDevji.
I only wish that this spiritual revolution spreads all across the Globe, now that the phenomenal, combined energies of these illustrious Gurus has focused on just this Goal.
The full details of Guru Sangamam are not available to us. We hope that future Sangamams will make the disciples more joyful with details of the proceedings, audios, videos etc.

Some time ago, there was an exchange of visits between Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev and Swami RamDevji Maharaj.
As we all know, both are influencing the lives of crores of people through Yoga, Pranayam and spirituality. Their energy levels are phenomenal. So is their influence on the disciples and followers.
Their meetings were therefore a heartening event for their disciples. I happen to be an ardent follower and disciple of both of them, having attended both of their training programs at different places.
It is a pleasant sight to see Sadhguru and RamDevji in meditation sitting side by side in the Dhyana lingam meditation hall. And, RamDevji performing his puja in Theerth Kund.

It is said – “Gurur Brahma, Gurur Vishnu Gurur Devo Maheswarah, Gurur Saakshaath Param Bramha tasmai Sree Gurauve Namaha.”
Our Great Gurus are not different from each other, but one in different forms and shapes and leading us to the essence of spirituality, the param Brahma.
